Chief Executive Officer

Jide is the Chief Executive Officer of MBO Capital. He has over 27 years financial services experience in West Africa. Prior to founding MBO Capital Management, Jide Ogundare was an Executive Director and Head of the Retail Banking Division of GTBank, a leading African Bank with Nigerian roots. The bank operates subsidiaries in other countries in Africa and Europe including the UK. Jide joined GTBank at inception in 1990 and became an Executive Director in 2002. Elsewhere, he served on the Board of GTBank Sierra Leone for a period of 8 years, initially as a Non-Executive Director and later as Chairman of the Board. During his 21 years with GTBank he worked in various departments including Investment Banking and Funds Management.

Jide holds an MBA degree from Cardiff Business School UK, and an LLM degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He is a qualified legal practitioner called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987.

Adekunle oversees MBO Capital’s investment division. He has over 15 years experience in investment banking, consulting, telecommunications, operations management and private equity.

Prior to joining MBO Capital Management Limited, Adekunle worked at PwC Nigeria as a Corporate Finance Manager, where he provided sell-side and buyside financial advisory. Adekunle previously worked for Access Bank plc, initially as head of private equity in its asset management subsidiary and then as a team lead in the financial markets division. He has also worked in New York at Lehman Brothers as an investment-banking Associate and in London at DHL, a global logistics company. He started his career at Analysys, a UK-based telecommunications consultancy as a research analyst.

Adekunle holds an MBA in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) and an MA/MEng in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

Moyo has over seven years experience in investment banking, consulting and private equity. Prior to joining MBO Capital, he served as an Assistant Manager in PwC Nigeria’s Corporate Finance division where he executed several debt and equity market advisory engagements. He also worked as a senior analyst in Investment Banking division of Cardinalstone Partners.

Moyo holds a BSc degree in Economics from Covenant University Nigeria, and is an MBA candidate in IE Business School Spain.

Olanike has over eight years experience in commercial law and compliance in Nigeria. Prior to joining MBO Capital, she served as head of ALM Consulting Ltd’s Corporate Trusts division and as Legal and Compliance Officer in Asset & Resource Management Company Ltd (ARM). She began her legal career as an Associate in the Corporate & Commercial Law department of Ajumogobia & Okeke, a leading Nigerian law firm.

Olanike holds an LLM from the University of Warwick UK, and LLB from Lagos State University Nigeria. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK.

Raven has over 15 years experience in human resource and project management in the USA and Nigeria. Prior to joining MBO Capital, she served as a Program Director at the United Cerebral Palsy of New York City. She has also served in various management capacities at the Montefiore Medical Center and Binding Together Inc – a medical facility and youth development center respectively.

Raven holds an MA degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University USA and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College, USA.

IT Manager

Lanre oversees the Information Technology department of the firm with over 10 years experience in IT management. Prior to joining MBO Capital, he served as a System Administrator at GTBank Plc. During his years with GTBank he deployed and configured the ITSM Service Desk suite used across the bank’s over 100 offices in Nigeria.

Lanre holds a BSc degree in Computing and Information Systems from Goldsmiths College, University of London UK, and a Diploma in Computer Science from Yaba College of Technology Nigeria.

Anuoluwapo has over seven years experience in office administration. Prior to joining MBO Capital Management Limited, she served as a Customer Relationship Agent in Access Bank Plc. She was also an Assistant Supervisor at an international chain of department stores.

Anuoluwapo holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Ngozi is the founder and Managing Director of Invivo Partners Limited. She has over 20 years’ experience in finance/private equity, general management and strategy/business development functions with multinational companies in Europe, USA and Africa.

Prior to founding Invivo, Ngozi was a Director and Chief Executive, West Africa at Actis LLP.  She had various roles in Pfizer including Regional Director and Vice President, Planning & Development. She continues to serve on the board of several companies in diverse sectors. Ms. Edozien holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and B.A. in Social Studies (Government, Philosophy and Economics) from Harvard University and Radcliffe Colleges. She holds an MA from Cambridge.

Sanyade is Chief Executive Officer at Alpha African Advisory. She has over 21 years of financial advisory, private equity, corporate, commercial and management finance and auditing experience.

Prior to founding Alpha African Advisory, Sanyade was a senior member of the team responsible for raising the Travant Private Equity Fund (TPEF1) in 2007 and currently sits on the Board of Dorman Long Engineering (DLE) – an energy services portfolio company of the Fund. She was previously Vice President, Finance & Strategy at Ocean & Oil Holdings (OOH) where she was responsible for providing strategic direction and financial leadership to the OOH group. Her experience also includes working as a Senior Finance Manager at British Telecom in the United Kingdom and training as an Accountant with Arthur Andersen in the UK.

Chairman, Board of Directors

Dr. Olufemi Lalude serves as the Chairman of MBO Capital Management Limited and is responsible for offering guidance, support, expertise and an objective perspective to the Board on the key matters of strategy, operational management, organisational structure and development, commercial and financial affairs, and risk management.

 

He has a distinguished history of directorships and consulting leadership of various major companies, largely in the petrochemical and engineering sections. He has been a Director of Addax Petroleum & Petrodata Management Services and is Chairman of Crestech Engineering. Dr. Lalude was formerly employed at Shell, beginning with Shell Nigeria (SPDC) in 1970, where he rose to become the Head of the Engineering Technical Services. He moved on to Shell International and led the Worldwide Engineering Liaison and Advisory Group, before moving once again to Shell Nigeria and taking charge of all engineering strategic planning and professional development of engineering staff. He was appointed Director and General Manager of the Western Division of SPDC in 1989 and oversaw the highly active exploration and production activities including technical planning and programme execution along with financial planning and investment.

Tomi Davies is responsible for offering guidance, support, expertise and an objective perspective to the Board on the key matters of strategy, operational management, organisational structure and development, commercial and financial affairs, and risk management.

With a successful background in blue chip companies in the UK, USA and Africa, Tomi is a recognised expert in the IT-led transformation of businesses.  He is CEO of TVCLabs, a Technology Business Incubation Company based in Lagos, Nigeria and sits on the Boards of Sproxil, Strika Entertainment, TechnoVision Communications and PeoplePrime.

Tomi is a member of the Institute of Directors, the British Computer Society, Genesis Project, the Nigeria British Association, Internet Society and the Project Management Institute.

Theresa Eyamba Nzekwu

Eyamba Nzekwu is responsible for offering guidance, support, expertise and an objective perspective to the Board on the key matters of strategy, operational management, organisational structure and development, commercial and financial affairs, and risk management.

She is a Chartered Accountant by training and has been responsible for many start-up and transformation programs across both public and private sectors of the Nigerian Economy over the last 28 years of her professional career.

Eyamba served as the Commissioner, Technical Division of Nigeria’s National Pension Commission for two terms before her exit in December 2012. During this time, she was instrumental in the formulation of guidelines for and supervision of the pension industry in Nigeria that enabled the accumulation of N2.6 trillion of pension fund assets under management in the custody of licensed Pension Fund Managers (PFAs). Prior to this she was appointed as one of the pioneer Commissioners of PenCom at its inception.

In 1999, Eyamba was appointed the first female Accountant General of Cross River State in Nigeria. She began her professional accounting career at the London office of PwC.
